Major Gaza Offensive Imminent - Gay Parade Violence Likely - Prayer Points

Over the past week, the sounds of air strikes in Gaza echoed through the valleys and arrived outside our windows with their distinctive thud, reminding us of the battle that was raging just miles from where we live. While I am unabashedly pro-Israel, I can't help but feel for the Arabs who are trapped by their leaders, and their demonic religion into such a hopeless life of hatred and death. I pray for our enemies daily that the Lord would deliver them from bondage to the devil.
Today however the attacks have stopped, and the IDF is pulling back out of Gaza, but a source inside the government said that it is in preparation for a much broader attack, and the retaking of Gaza.
In an unbelievable display of courage, and the indefatigable spirit which consumes the settler movement, the people who were cast out of Gaza have said that they will march in right behind the IDF and retake, and rebuild everything that was destroyed and stolen from them just over a year ago. How the present government will respond to this may be another story. Even today, Amir Peretz is threatening to start the expulsion of what he deems "Illegal settlements". This morning a demonstration outside the courtroom of one of several settlers who were recently arrested for violating orders to leave their homes, and abandon their communities, promised to be one more in what are becoming daily clashes with the government.
To top it all off, Attorney General Mazuz refused police requests to call off the 'Gay Pride' march scheduled for this Friday, which happens to be the 60th anniversary of Kristallnacht (night of the Broken Glass). Kristallnacht was a pogrom against the Jews of Germany and Austria on November 9th and 10th, 1938 in which storm troopers entered into a thousand cities and destroyed homes and businesses, mercilessly beating Jews to death, and taking 30,000 Jewish men to concentration camps, while burning down and ransacking 1668 synagogues. This is the day that the devil has decided to march through the Holy City of Jerusalem, and parade his most disgusting attributes before the Lord and His people.
Lord have mercy. I really mean that. In reaction to this abomination the Haredi community (Ultra Orthodox Jews) have been rioting in protest, and many are calling for death to these protestors who would so violate the very city of God. These people are not kidding, they are violently offended and when their Rabbis give them an order, they consider it a moral duty to fulfill it.
The police, seeing the writing on the wall, tried to persuade the leftist Attorney General to cancel the march, but much to their surprise (Admittedly I wasn't at all surprised) he turned them down and ordered that all measures must be taken to protect the marchers. This required changing the route which they would march, and will mean mobilizing nearly the entire available police force to attend this march. That means the City of Jerusalem and its surrounding villages are going to be wide open to suicide bombers. I am left to wonder, what kind of havoc will be reaped on this 'Day of Broken Glass'?
Repeatedly I am reminded of the Lord's description in Revelation 11:8 of the end time Jerusalem as Sodom and Egypt. When I look at the two opposing forces involved here, I am struck by the accuracy of the prophecy.
The homosexual community flagrantly flaunts their immorality before the public, daring anyone including God to stop them from their debased lifestyle, just as was the case in Sodom. Given the chance, these marchers today would also demand the right to defile and angel sent from the Lord in the public streets. In fact I am sure they would delight in the prospect.
On the other hand, we have the Haredi community, and while it first appears they are taking the moral high road, they are casting curses and plotting death. Caught inextricably in the web of Persian Mysticism known as Kabala, which has been woven into modern Rabbinic Judaism, these religious Jews are casting spells and performing magic arts, just as was the practice in ancient Egypt at the time that Moses led his people out of captivity.
Of course the secular government and public are also in the mix, promoting such abomination in the name of humanism and political correctness. And like Pharaoh, they exalt themselves above the throne of God.
This dangerous brew of people and philosophies all have one thing in common, they are all born of the anti-Christ spirit, and even though they war against each other (after all the devil's house is divided against itself) they are ultimately all serving the same master in order to thumb their nose at the true God of Israel.
As I was thinking of how to pray over this situation, I was left with only one answer, and that is to pray for God's mercy and deliverance over all parties involved. Even the Muslims who are promising violence in reaction to the Jews and Christians who they believe have allowed this abomination to take place.
I can't prove it, but I believe it to be true that the three hours of darkness that engulfed the world at the crucifixion of our Lord, was the whole of the sins of the human race, past, present, and future, being poured out upon Yeshua. We have no idea the torment He underwent at that moment. He became the homosexual, the Haredi consumed with a religious spirit, the secular humanist that has no faith other than in what he can touch, feel, and taste. He also became the pedophile, the rapist, the serial killer, and every other kind of vile creature that has ever defaced the Holy Earth that was created to support life and love. He did it in order that the people who are going to clash this Friday in Jerusalem might be delivered from their judgment. And so how can I pray otherwise?
When Yeshua walked the breadth of Israel, He never condemned the sinner; rather He felt compassion and called out the demons that possessed them. He didn't need to yell or work Himself up, He simply said, "Come out of him". Yes He could say some harsh words, but the truth always penetrates deeply, going right to the crux of the issue, and it often offends. Always, without exception, His words and actions were designed to bring repentance, and salvation, and glory to His Father in Heaven. How then can we respond any differently today?
God is going to judge the wickedness of those who refuse His mercy, and mock His Son, but that is coming on a day that only He can determine, and only the angels appointed by Him will be able to carry out His judgments. Until His coming, our sole responsibility is to love as He loved, praying and interceding with the expectation that many of these people will be lifted out of their walking death sentence and into resurrection life with their loving savior.
We cannot merely pray for deliverance however. As a friend pointed out to me today that will leave them open to having seven more demons entering in and making their situation worse than it had been before. No, these people, all of them, need to be confronted with the very presence of God. He needs to be present in the city of Jerusalem with such power and grace, that sinners will be brought to their knees in repentance and cry out for His salvation, and that the demons will be so terrified at the presence of the Holy Spirit that they leave their hosts and flee the city in fear and trembling.
In my minds eye, I envision a Holy hush overcoming the city, right as violence is about to break out, and that all sides are brought to their knees before the Lord. That God's Holiness would so flood the streets of Jerusalem that thousands of people would come to repentance, and salvation, and be baptized in the Holy Spirit right then and there, rising up to bless the name of their long awaited Messiah, Yeshua. Each person would have the void in them filled to overflowing with the very nature of God, the precious Holy Spirit, so that no demon would dare try to re-enter the sinner delivered by such magnificent grace.
This is how I am going to pray. I hope you will too.
As an end note, Syria has declared that the time clock to their declaring war on Israel is ticking down, the IDF is starting to voice their concerns about the intentions of Egypt, and Madmood Ahwannajihad is stating that he is hearing directly from the twelfth Imam (the Islamic version of a Messiah) and that he is going to be the one to destroy Israel. Experts are saying that we fought the wrong foe in Lebanon and that we should have targeted Syria from the get go.
The Palestinians are asking for a UNIFIL type force to be implemented in Gaza (Why wouldn't they? It is the safest way to achieve maximum arms capability while stopping Israel's plans for retaking Gaza dead in its tracks. Watch for Europe and the U.S. to push for this.)
Friends, it may not have happened in October, and it may or may not happen in November, but this situation cannot continue to escalate much longer without something going boom.
A friend who is part of an intercessory prayer group and congregation in the North said recently that many in their congregation were having visions of a major earthquake in Israel before the end of November; this includes many of the children in the congregation. Another elder said he feels strongly impressed by the Lord that something significant, apart from the earthquake, is also going to happen by November 28th. He is not sure what it is, but feels it will be a major event.
Believers, non-believers, government officials, military analysts, soldiers and civilians are all on the edge of their seats waiting for something that they know is coming, you can feel it in the air, and the tension can be cut with a knife.
Now is the time for intercession. For travail before the Lord, plead for His mercy upon His people and land, and give Him no rest until He has made Jerusalem a praise in all of the earth. You are a watchman on the walls of Jerusalem, even if you are sitting in your living room in Topeka, Kansas. In the spiritual realm you are seated in the heavens with your Father, and your method of warfare is in the spirit. Remind the Lord of His promises. Even be so bold as to demand that He fulfill His word and defend His Holy Name. Get off the couch, turn off the TV, and get down to serious business. This is not a trial run or a casual game folks, this is the real thing and this is the time that we were created for. Are we going to fall asleep and hope for the best or are we going to wake up and say "Here Am I Lord… Send Me?" This is your time to stand up and be an overcomer. Overcomers' are the ones who make it to heaven. Don't you want to be one of those? Don't you want your family to be overcomers' as well? Now is the time of your visitation, don't miss it.
Oh God; the lukewarm church is sleeping and they are about to be spewed out of the mouth of the Lord. Don't let that be you or your loved ones. Repent! Wake Up! Shake your family, your church, and your unsaved neighbors out of their slumber and preach the word with boldness. Tell them the truth and lead them out of the compromised church. Our goal is not to retire with a million dollars in the bank! It is to die with the heavenly kingdom as our reward! To sacrifice all in order to see the name of our Lord lifted high. Not to seek the blessings of God but to yearn for the face of God! That God Himself would be our reward. To be willing to die for the privilege to dwell in His presence for eternity. To shun sin not for fear of going to hell, but for fear of offending the one we love with our whole heart. Salvation is only the means to an end. The end is to love God with all of our heart, and to come to the point where he really is our all in all, our everything.
Fill your lamp with oil, and be ready for the midnight cry. The wedding feast will soon be upon us.
